Wedding Cakes

Though not without much stress and anxiety invested, I was able to successfully finish Anna's wedding cake two weekends ago. I was skeptical, but it turned out well, I think:

Sunrise hike up Mt. Timpanogos

Devin, Jeff and I started our sunrise hike up Mt. Timpanogos at 12:30 am. It was a beautiful night, and the first 3/4 of the hike was actually quite enjoyable. However, as we neared the summit, Devin got increasingly sick. Despite the fact that he has hiked Timp many times, he was unfortunate enough to get altitude sickness.

I was sad. Devin was delirious.

Luckily, we did make it to the top to see the sunrise. Due to the excessive amounts of wind, I was lying down to take this picture.

Right after Devin got sick. He was a trooper.

Aren't shadows fascinating? They kept getting in my way, so I decided to take a picture of Jeff and I.

My favorite part of hiking Timp is getting to the meadows on the saddle.

As we started down, we were able to get unbelievably close to some mountain goats. They're beautiful creatures.
